Join Ubuntu Anglers in empowering BIPOC youth through nature camps, fishing education, and ‘Casting in the Park’ events. Building future leaders, one cast at a time.
This year, Ubuntu Fly Anglers will host two BIPOC Youth Camps. The first will take place on the Deschutes River in conjunction with the iFishiBelong Oregon DIY Fishing Event and the Deschutes River Alliance Troutfest May 29-31, 2026. The second camp will be held July 22–25, 2026, at the Martin Luther King Jr. Center in Spokane, Washington.
At iFish I Belong, the safety and well-being of the youth we serve is our highest priority. We take our responsibility to create a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment for all young participants seriously, and we have taken deliberate steps to ensure that every youth-involved event is held to the highest standard of care.
To that end, we have established the following policies and procedures to protect our youth participants and ensure accountability across our organization:
- Adult Volunteer Policy for Youth-Involved Events
- Youth-Involved Crisis Response Plan for Suspected or Actual Abuse
- Youth Safety Agreement
These policies exist to protect our youth participants and ensure our volunteers and leadership are equipped and accountable. Thank you for your continued commitment to making our programs safe for every young person we serve.
