Nestled just 1.5 hours east of Seattle off Interstate 90, Roslyn is a charming historic town in the Cascade Mountains. Once a bustling coal mining hub, it’s best known as the filming location for the iconic 1990s TV show Northern Exposure. Its Old West–style main street, lined with preserved false-front buildings and the historic Brick Saloon, feels like stepping back in time. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, Roslyn offers plenty to explore, from local museums and cozy cafés to nearby wine tasting at Swiftwater Cellars.
