Once a bustling coal mining hub, it’s best known as the filming location for the iconic 1990s TV show Northern Exposure. Its Old West–style main street, lined with preserved false-front buildings and the historic Brick Saloon, feels like stepping back in time. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, Roslyn offers plenty to explore, from local museums and cozy cafés to nearby wine tasting at Swiftwater Cellars.

Public Transporation
Bellair Charters & Bellair Airporter Shuttle offers convenient shuttle service connecting central Washington locations, including a stop in Cle Elum at Warrior’s Quick Stop (off I-90, Exit 84), with Seattle and Sea-Tac Airport, making travel to and from the Roslyn Riffle event area easier for participants; advance reservations are required to guarantee pickup at the Cle Elum stop.
Camping
We’ve reserved the group campsite at Whispering Pines Campground. Located just minutes from Roslyn, Washington, along the Yakima River, this group site offers 8 RV sites with ample space for vans and tents. Please note there is no potable water on-site, and a porta john is on site. Registration opens January 26, 2026.
