The iFishiBelong Becca Sue Klein All Kids Fish program was inspired by the vision, passion, and dedication of Becca Sue Klein, a founding member of iFishiBelong. A devoted environmentalist, fly angler, and advocate for individuals in recovery, Becca worked tirelessly to make fly fishing more inclusive, accessible, and impactful for all children.
In 2019, while serving as Development Director at Chattahoochee Riverkeeper, Becca launched what would become the foundation of this program. Her idea began as a fly fishing event for girls on the Chattahoochee River, designed to teach outdoor skills and foster an understanding of the importance of protecting our waterways. That first event was a success and it grew into a larger effort to introduce all children to fly fishing, environmental education, and conservation.
As the program gained momentum, Becca dreamed of expanding beyond Georgia. In her final months, she worked closely with iFishiBelong and Dayle Woodward to bring that vision to life. Her unwavering dedication helped lay the groundwork for what is now the iFishiBelong Becca Sue Klein All Kids Fish program, which will carry her mission across the country and, eventually, beyond.
The first event under this expanded program took place just outside Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, on Saturday, September 27, 2025, marking a powerful new chapter in Becca’s legacy.
On January 21, 2025, Becca passed away peacefully at home after a long and courageous battle with breast cancer. Her life’s work lives on through the All Kids Fish programs at Chattahoochee Riverkeeper and iFishiBelong and her nonprofit, Reeling in Serenity. Becca’s legacy continues to inspire a new generation of youth, families, and communities to connect with nature, with one another, and with the healing power of the water.
