Register for the Event
This one-day urban fishing event is free, but registration is required. Donations are appreciated to help cover the costs of hosting the event and providing fishing licenses to those in need.

The California iFishiBelong fishing event is open to everyone, not just women or fly-fishing enthusiasts. The iFishiBelong mission is to advocate for all species, fishing techniques, and people, with a focus on creating a welcoming environment where diversity is celebrated and discrimination is not tolerated.
iFishiBelong’s fishing events allow attendees to explore, engage in DIY fishing, and participate in social gatherings. These events also serve as a platform to highlight local businesses and guides, building community and support.

Event Schedule
Join us for a morning urban fishing event at MacArthur Park in Los Angeles, California! Stop by anytime during the event hours. Our co-hosts will be on hand to help you fish the lake for stocked trout, catfish, and carp.
- 7 am to 11:30 am – Social Fishing Time
- 12:00 pm – Group Lunch at Doña Bibi’s restaurant. (lunch is not included)
Parking
Four-hour parking meters are available on Wilshire Blvd, and we recommend parking on the northwest side of the lake along Wilshire Blvd. Additionally, there are a few parking garages near the lake. Refer to the map for details.
Group Lunch
After the morning fishing event, several of us will have lunch at Doña Bibi’s restaurant. Please note that lunch is not included in the event registration.
Fishing
The lake in MacArthur Park is fed by natural springs. This is a perfect urban fishing location as there is casting room for a large group.

Each angler is encouraged to bring their own equipment, bait and flies. However, we’ll also have rod and reel setups, flies, lures, and terminal tackle available during the event.
