Geared towards communal angling, Friday presents the ideal opportunity to embark on a water adventure with newly made friends. Departing in the early morning, we’ll venture on a day trip to engage in fishing amidst the pristine waters of Cherokee, NC. Please note that the fishing permit and travel are not included. $10 for a tribal permit and $25 catch-and-release special use permit.

It’s all about the hang and our day will extend beyond fishing in Cherokee, NC, as we proceed to the campground to connect and share our fishing tales.

Explore the art of fly fishing in Western North Carolina through a comprehensive workshop that delves into area-specific insects, matching flies, leader setups, and area specific fishing locations. Learn the nuances of small stream casting techniques, perfect for the region’s picturesque mountain streams and winding rivers. Our expert-led workshop provides hands-on experience, ensuring participants leave with the knowledge and confidence to navigate the unique challenges of fly fishing in this enchanting Pisgah National Forest.

Join us for a community gathering on Saturday evening at Headwaters Outfitters, offering a laid-back atmosphere to hang out. Enjoy dinner from a local food truck, and quench your thirst at the Forks of the River Tap Room. Don’t be surprised if you catch an angler picking up a guitar for an impromptu jam session.

Participate in outdoor yoga with Mindfully Bloom and an art workshop hosted by Miranda Ryan, offering a holistic experience that connects nature, mindfulness, and creativity. The location is at Headwaters Campground or the Forks on the River Taproom in case of poor weather.
